When the Surgery is closed

Please ring NHS111 for all medical advice. Calls to NHS111 are free from both Landlines and Mobiles.

The Wigan GP Alliance is also available on 01942 482848 for pre-bookable appointments when the surgery is closed apart from Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Our GP surgery remains open and is holding lots of appointments via telephone. If you have symptoms that are concerning you and you can’t explain, contact your GP for advice.

This includes symptoms that are unexplained and persistent, such as: Lumps, Weight loss, Blood in your poo or pee, A change of bowel habit, Extreme tiredness, unexplained pain or Coughs that have lasted over 3 weeks, especially if you have ever smoked.

These can occasionally sometimes be symptoms of cancer and it is important to discuss them with your GP if you are worried.

Save time – do it online!

GP online services gives patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records, using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit their practice.

Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records. Our practices already have the facility to offer online access to records and transactional services for our patients.

If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.

One Click Away

Convenience doesn’t stop there and you can now access a number of services online. Ordering a repeat prescription or sending us your comments are both just a click away. And if you’re not yet registered with us you can download the necessary forms here too.

Health and Happiness

Our team are dedicated to your continued good health and approach your care with professionalism, discretion and friendliness. You can count on a warm welcome from everyone involved here at the practice.
